I purchased Yellowface at an indie bookstore while on vacation based on your recommendation…it was so entertaining! Loved that there were so many situations where a character’s actions start with good intentions but end up creating chaos for either themself or others.

I loved Yellowface. I laughed out loud more than once. It really was un-put-downable, read it in one sitting. I don’t think it was perfect but it was so good and enjoyable, and having some knowledge of publishing, it just made it all the funnier. It surprised me with how much I enjoyed it.

I’m tempted by The Flatshare but the premise doesn’t make sense. If one of them works nights and the other one works days aren’t they both home in the evening, don’t they have days off? Hopefully that’s explained in the book.

I've read all the books by R. F. Kuang and it's a little funny that Yellowface is my favorite since I'm a huge fantasy reader.

I've only read Murderbot and SpyxFamily but they are basically tied in my mind, Murderbot might pull ahead just a bit because I love scifi.

I really love SpyXFamily as a manga but I have a hard time getting into the anime.
I tried it 3 times now and for some reasons I just REALLY prefer the books. It gives less time to really value the great family moments I think ... I don't know :p
The Serpent and the Wing of the night is in my list of samples as I'm not really sure how interested in the story I am but we'll see.

The MURDERBOT first was sooo good for me that I picked up the parts 2-4 just few hours ago.
