This session showcases the physics, astronomy and planetary science curriculum at the OU – including the different modules that we offer and the various degree programmes that students can follow to pursue their interests including the module choices at Levels 1, 2 and 3.

You'll see a demonstration of how physics and astronomy students are able to carry out practical science during their studies, using facilities from the OpenSTEM laboratories, and in particular our robotic radio telescope in Milton Keynes and our robotic optical telescopes in Tenerife.

You will also see the links between our research and our teaching and have a tour of two of our research laboratories on campus, followed by a link-up with an exhibit we’re currently running at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition.

I wish I did SM123! I did MST124 and 5. I would have done SM123 but it started the year after i finished level 1.. They were both brilliant but learning Python would be really cool. I was gutted to miss this live due to work commitments, but the catch up videos are great and so helpful . Thanks :)
