Gareth Lock is a hidden treasure to the dive community. Those that don't know who he is are at a serious disadvantage, but those who do know him are infinitely better off for it. He brings light to safety that most divers have never been trained to look for. Once you understand the human factors in dive accidents, your likelihood of being able to prevent those accidents from happening to you is increased 100x. Preventing the problems on the surface, before the dive even begins, that is the key to success. Being aware of potential dangers in diving allows a better predive safety brief and greater mitigation of risk.
