If you compare all of the "5th place teams" in each division, being the Royals, A's, Nats, Reds, Rockies and Orioles, the Orioles are by FAR the best of them. This team has a lot of young talent and it's only uphill from here for Baltimore.

Orioles have pitched 3 shutout wins in last 5 games. TB, WAS, and CHI. What a difference they have been from past years.

Just to try and give perspective for how good the Orioles have been for most of this season:
They started 6-14 and are 32-39 right now, 26-25 in their last 51 games
The Giants started out 13-5 and are currently 38-31, 25-26 in their last 51 games.

The Giants are definitely considered a playoff caliber team by most where as the Orioles are given absolutely no thought when I really think they should be. It’s extremely optimistic to say this team is a playoff team right now but they’re not far off. And definitely not a 22nd-24th team in the power rankings, 15th-18th imo

Bautista does it again! Awesome outing for him who was always ahead of the batter without fear facing them with tough pitching outside of the strike zone, that’s the attitude hi should always have when he is on the mount. Credit to mullin who always contribute with good defense and offensive, also Hayes who was always willing to do it all for the team and Lopez the closer who in every outing shows why he is one of the best closer in the league.

Man that White Sox fan was NOT happy, and man the O’s are starting to pick it up now that it summer has begun. Honestly best fielding I’ve seen from them all year, absolutely stellar! (Commenting here cause no Jays game today)
