How is it that a song that came out 52 years ago still sounds so fresh? I’ll never grow tired of this song.

"You pick the place and ill choose the time and ill climb that hill in my own way" epic lyrics

Fearless
You say the hill's too steep to climb
Chiding
You say you'd like to see me try
Climbing

You pick the place and I'll choose the time
And I'll climb
The hill in my own way
Just wait a while for the right day
And as I rise above the treeline and the clouds
I look down, hearing the sound of the things you said today

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd
Smiling
Merciless the magistrate turns 'round
Frowning

And who's the fool who wears the crown?
And go down
in your own way
And every day is the right day
And as you rise above the fearlines in his brow
You look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

This is my single most favorite song in the entirety of time. It's gotten me through some rough times. Meddle is, without doubt, my favorite PF album.

I lost my brother in 2005 to a life long struggle with mental illness leading to an accidental overdose. For the longest time, “my song” to connect with him was “Wish You Were Here” (still is, but, now shares that place with this song). Flying home from Colorado a few years ago, I played this song on repeat for the 2.5 hr flight and vividly remember the feeling of soaring through the clouds with him. I have never felt more connected to him… I will forever be grateful for the times that Pink Floyd has allowed me to let go of my inhibitions, my sadness, my anger, my regrets, and self doubt. I hope to see him again one day and if I’m lucky, this song will be playing when I do. ❤

This is the song that I have played the most times of any in my life. I will continue to climb the hill of life in my own way.😺

Meddle, in my opinion, truly is Pink Floyd's magnum opus. This song, San Tropez, and Echoes got me through so many tough times and bored moments. All I can do is sit and appreciate.

Overlooked, because Pink Floyd made so many great albums over the years, meddle, in my humble opinion, is one of the best albums ever, from any band.

Underrated song by Floyd. Still get goosebumps at “and I’ll climb that hill in my own way”

This song started my journey in reconnecting with my faith, finding myself, and confronting the BS from the past. Thank you Pink Floyd!
