Double Slit Experiment in Quantum Mechanics

The double-slit experiment is a fundamental experiment in quantum mechanics that illustrates the wave-particle duality of matter. It was first conducted by Thomas Young in the early 1800s to demonstrate the wave nature of light, but was later adapted to study the behavior of electrons and other subatomic particles.

The experiment involves shining a beam of particles, such as electrons, through a barrier with two slits in it. On the other side of the barrier, a screen is placed to detect the particles that pass through the slits. When the experiment is conducted with a continuous beam of particles, an interference pattern is observed on the screen, consisting of bright and dark fringes.

The interference pattern results from the wave-like nature of the particles. When a particle passes through the slits, it behaves like a wave, and the waves from the two slits interfere with each other constructively or destructively. The constructive interference produces bright fringes, while the destructive interference produces dark fringes.

Surprisingly, even when the experiment is conducted with a single particle at a time, the interference pattern is still observed, suggesting that each particle interferes with itself as it passes through the slits. This behavior is characteristic of the wave-particle duality of matter, where particles can exhibit both wave-like and particle-like behavior depending on the circumstances.

The double-slit experiment has important implications for the interpretation of quantum mechanics and the nature of reality at the subatomic level. It also has practical applications, such as in the development of quantum technologies like quantum cryptography and quantum computing.

In summary, the double-slit experiment is a cornerstone of quantum mechanics that demonstrates the wave-particle duality of matter and has significant implications for our understanding of the nature of reality at the subatomic level.

Maybe we are living in a game 🎮
And This is just a minimal lag of this game.

And similar experiment to this is wheeler delay choice which also suggests that we are living in a game and our past depends on future not future depends on past.

The game is weird!

Dual nature says a particle in speed close to light speed behaves as a wave. That why electron doesn't have infinite mass at that speed as Relativity suggests.

Sir please continue this series 🙏🙏
Where u explained tiny concept in shorts.
Sir please make videos on atomic and molecular physics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics that's why I can take physics as my optional because I love physics.

Is Quantum mechanics find the all hidden secrets of this universe 🤔🤔🤔🙄🧐🧐

It's ONLY particles going down long halls and the si called interference pattern is a ricochet pattern off the walls. Search Andy double slit I explain everything (sorry my video quality is bad)

Unless you can pass one photon at a time through a slit, you don't have any slit experiment! You are simply wasting my and your time...

You are lying like most physicists presenting this.. You know that when the electron You know you always get an interference pattern.. even a one slit interference pattern.

"An electon is a wave as it passes through the slit, then it reassembles as a point." Granted, you are trying to keep things simple, but that's just not true. The way the electron is detected treats it as if it is a particle - so for this purpose it is.

I think we are all misunderstanding what exactly is going on, and that we are about to figure it out.

Or maybe the electrons are entangled so each electron pass through the same hole it passes through when the experiment is done in bulk.

This pattern happens in water. Does this mean the water is travelling from the source to the destination ? NO.

When they tried to do the double slit experiment at a distance from light from another star from a different galaxy the light actually went back and change the way it was going to behave the name that retro something but that means the light would have had to change his mind when it was first released from the other galaxies that's the shitt that f**** with my mind

What more interesting/mind bugling is that when we observe (define the position of) the electron then we do not get the interference, (it behaves like particle)....

Now its not currect, new experiment the electron change there behaviour when they observer the electron
