Sens need to waive Foursberg and keep Merilainen in the net while Ullmark recovers. Big difference on how they play in front of each goalie.

Does anyone disagree Merilainen is already a better goalie than Forsberg the sieve and should be our back up moving forward?

Funny that commentator said right before the call was announced "come on, Justin" and the ref still said the call stands😂

Nice that the Penguins could take the night off to go and watch the Senators play...

Well, one positive thing if you're Penguins fan attending this game - at least you got a Jagr bobblehead. You could probably auction it off and recoup the money lost watching this game....

First shot won the game. Meriläinen was great.

I was at this game and as a Sens fan, I only cheered for the first 3 goals. I was even hoping for a better game from the Pens...

Ottawa is a tough team to figure out. They win six in a row then go 1-5-1 and then come out with a game like this and shut down the best power play in the league. They apparently have more shutouts than any team in the league, and also have the best winning percentage of any team when they score first. Of course, they probably also have one of the worst winning percentages when they don't score first. Now they are home to play Dallas tomorrow. Since Dallas is playing in Montreal tonight I wonder how they will choose to travel. Once a plane takes off, a flight from Montreal to Ottawa is pretty short, but when you factor in time spent at the airport going through security, they might decide taking a bus is the better option. It is definitely cheaper.

One team wanted that second wildcard spot more than the other.

Weird to not show any of the penalties/heated moments. Makes it seem like this game was calm when it really wasnt.

The Jagr bobblehead was the star of the game for The Penguins.🙄

I saw 4 penalties during 1st period but ottawa were more aggresive-practical than pens, which were passive-aggresive. I still don’t know what happened with the goaltender

challenging for goalie interference when the puck went in off your own player is hysterical

on the fourth goal that puck is clearly free
the fifth goal is interesting, from the replays they showed i don't see a free puck
i guess the ref saw it sitting under/behind him?
