What did you think of the GRUESOME deleted scene? Would you have liked to see it in the film?

I remember very well this deleted scene. It just adds to horrifying abomination that is Shin Godzilla ! This version was such a unique yet strong departure from the original, while also staying true to the aim of the first 1954 movie.

I love the idea of Godzilla as a Eldritch cosmic being.

Just imagine if they actually added this gruesome scene, that would just make the movie more terrifying than it already is

Honestly i think it adds to the final twist, if you were to see this scene in the film you’d think “oh my god, this thing is able to multiply, but thankfully it looks like they could deal with it since it looks like he can’t do it too well” and then you see the ending and realize “oh, they wouldn’t be able to deal with that” it shows that even when he’s in his “final form” Godzilla is still evolving to become the ultimate being

i can see why this scene was cut. there's no way to defeat Godzilla like this. it would have been a different movie altogether.

Really a pity that this film was never continued. Just the idea of humanoids coming out of the tail at the end I found fascinating at the time. With the concept, what was shown here, another film, in this universe, would have been really interesting.

My first theory is if they continue with the Shin Godzilla concept. Godzilla will be like the origin of all the monsters(Rodan, Anguirus, Baragon, and maybe another Godzilla), creating the planet of monsters.

I feel like Tojo should use this concept in a completely new monster. Seeing what has become Godzilla, I feel Toyo could take that idea to many places.

I feel robbed. As a fan since I was a little kid, this movie was already so incredible, and this scene would have pushed it to even greater heights and fresh territory.

It would look very disgusting, gory, and disturbing at first but also makes some curious to know more about it. But yea majority of the audience would be hating on it and not wanting to see it all.

Toho should do an animated film(or series?) exploring the implications of what would've happened had the military failed.
Maybe re-tell the story from the movie and then pursue things further. Even including this cut scene and how humankind tries to deal with those things as well as Big G's evolution.

This is my favorite version of Godzilla. I want more, and i don't want them afraid to get weird. This concept is horrorific.

I think it should have been kept and explained that the globs of Godzilla meat only survived for a few hours then died off. But that it was evolving to become a offshoot of Godzilla. Like the humanoid Manzillas that were coming out of its tail.

If they were to make a sequel of Shin Godzilla, I would imagine that each of Godzilla's "offspring, " whether it be the humanoid growths from his tail or the detached blobs of flesh, might eventually grow and develop down different adaptational pathways to eventually become some of the monsters from Godzilla's original rogues gallery such as Gidorah or Destroyah. The blobs of flesh in particular I can imagine developing into something like Hedorah or Biollante. I think it'd be a great way to bring in some of the classic monsters to the Shin Godzilla setting in an organic way.

I absolutely love Shin Godzilla. He scares the hell out of me on his own, but the existential dread he dredges up is such an awesome take. Despite being terrifyingly overpowered, dangerous and adaptable, I still want to root for him.

Honestly, we see a lot of humanity winning against Godzilla with the exclusion of Godzilla Earth.
I think Toho should’ve explored this concept fully and went a far darker route, showing our inevitable end by nuclear waste/war while adding a cosmic horror element to Godzilla in the form of evolution and survival.
Having a movie where everyone dies isn’t always bad. Especially in a Godzilla movie; switching up the narrative and fully reimagining 1954 in a far darker way: humanity’s end by their own nuclear inventions. Given birth a creature whose sole purpose is to survive, which inevitably comes back to evolution. In order to survive, you must evolve and adapt.

Shin Godzilla has so much potential, it’s so easy for them to say the flesh that Godzilla lost became aware of itself and formed into another Godzilla. They could, and I wish they would, dwell into a tragic story.

The end of Shin Godzilla was chilling, Godzilla was literally trying to morph into his next stage of evolution, which is a bunch of humanoids, he's becoming the thing that he's fighting.

I think this would be a really interesting concept to further explore, delving more into a "horror" esque godzilla! Wish they stuck with it and maybe explored it as a way to do a second movie, showing the aftermath in an even more horrifying way

If they added this as a credit scene. That's a 10/10 movie
