China's Westworld: Factory building humanoids suitable for home use, admin jobs

In the northeastern coastal city of Dalian in China is a factory where engineers are developing humanoid robots suitable for office and home use.

Focusing on enhancing facial expression and emotion through AI, Ex-Robot CEO says these humanoids will have a bigger role to play in the healthcare, home and education industries.

"The front desk of the hotel, the receptionist of the public administration service centre. There are a lot of jobs that humanoid robots can actually be competent at," Li Boyang said.

He hopes that every person may have a robot in the future at home for their service, or perhaps multiple.

What nobody tells you in this video is that these robots do not walk, they are just standing there like puppets, so that means it is still a very limited robot. This will be used as user interface in commerce mostly.
