Emerald is one of the best Thin Lizzy songs and a great ending to the album Jailbreak with a style of Heavy metal. Every member was fantastic with their performances, Lynott's great vocals and bass play, Downey's great drum rhythm and best of all the double solos by Gorham and Robertson.

Brian Robertson at the absolute top of his game. The whole band tight as a drum. I saw Thin Lizzy on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert around this time and they were just amazing. That duel harmonized guitar attack was the inspiration for a LOT of hard rock & metal to follow.
