Have you ever considered what would happen if you brought Codsworth to your deceased wife in the Fallout 4 vault? I decided to find out. First, I needed to recruit him as a companion, so I completed several quests related to him, cleared out all the bloatflies, and explored a nearby small town. After that, Codsworth became available as a companion. Then I immediately headed to the vault with him, activated the elevator with the button, and sneaked inside. Once there, I went straight to my wife's body, and here's what Codsworth said when he saw her.

Codsworth is the best companion in the game IMO. Most other "good aligned" companions get super judgemental and bitchy if you start making "renegade" decisions, but not Codsworth. He's just like, "Sir, I've been noticing you're not acting like yourself. I'm here if you need someone to talk to."

It's the *little details that make this game* for me. Not just Codsworth, but EVERY companion has their unique dialogue for things like this ^^

what always got me is that u cannot just take over the vault. like if i woke up and had access to what is basically an inpenitrable shelter.. thatvis where i would stay

Amazing follower tweaks mod allows you to bring Curie back to the vault and revive your spouse.

I named one of my Fallout 4 characters Ham Slider, and Codsworth took to calling me Mr. Ham. It made me smile everytime lol

Actually, most of the companions react to your dead Spouse.

Ive brought Codsworth, Valentine and Preston to the wife, they all feel bad and apologize.

My first run I brought all my companions down there back when the game first came out. I was happier later to be able to build on the vault and placed candles around her as a form of memorial site.
