My BITX-40 40 meter SSB QRP transceiver kit has arrived from India. This kit isells for $59 including shipping. My kit took 17 days to arrive from India. In this video, I unbox the BITX and show you all of the bits and pieces.

Like it. Looking forward to watching you put this all together. I can't build/operate one of these until I upgrade my licence. All I have at the current time is a 2m/70cm handheld which I never hear anyone through, so I am excited to see if this can be my low cost entry into HF (once I get the Intermediate Licence). M6EXF

I would think that leaving the board exposed like that would hinder performance due to the board getting dirty. You could go to a hobby store and get some thin metal or even styrene and build yourself a custom enclosure that would look pretty cool. Looking forward to watching this.

Randy... that is a VERY nice work surface, especially considering I am unfortunate enough to be using a glass surfaced-table as my work bench (imagine trying to find loose parts on that). Where can I purchase (hopefully exconomically) such a mat?

Hello Randy !!  Another good video !!  What is the size of the two boards for this kit in inches for High, Width, Depth.?I am thinking about buying one too, it looks interesting !!  Remember the ZZ RX 40 ?  I later built mine in an old Polaroid cameracarry case so I can carry it anywhere with a shoulder strap, and there is room for a small battery pack and a small audio ampcircuit and a roll of wire to make a small 40 meter antenna !!
