PS- it's not a hot water heater. LOL
Electric water heaters have 2 heating elements. Watch how to adjust the temperature on them! *Use caution on the temperature, especially if you have young children!*

Thanks Matt, I’ve always wondered how to do this & been intimated by the process. this took all of 10min to do and that included the walk to the truck to get my flathead screwdriver 😆

We recently got our water heater installed and have had room temperature water. Thanks to this video we will hopefully fix the problem.

Would both temperatures need to be adjusted to the same number! ? We just checked and they were at 120. Wondering if 130 will make a difference

I appreciate your helpful video on how to adjust the temperature on a Rheem water heater. I feel you should not assume your viewer (like me) knows everything about the steps to take. Shutting off the power seems to be an important first step before adjusting the thermostat, but you do not tell the viewer how that is done. Thanks for the information you did provide, however.

Thanks- I've noticed my bottom element on more than the upper. Open it up and sure enough, the upper was set lower.

After adjusting the temperature. Does it need to be reset or before doing. Or you don't need to reset it at all??

Good video. One question: I've noticed that the upper light never goes on, always the lower. The heater is 2 months old. WHat could be the problem. Should one be a bit higher than the other. Thank you. Kept up the good work.

You don't say if that's 125 degree Farenheit or Celcius ?I would assume Farenheit?
as your probably in the US. I'm in Canada, and we switched over to Celcius. My Rheem
electric is so hot, when I turn in the kitchen tap, you can't hold your hand under the
water, as it will literally burn your skin. Thanks for the Vid, as I didn't know if there
were thermostats on these Rheems, so I'll adjust mine. So, Farenheit or Celcius ?

How do i heat up 2 showers. But without showres going scolding hot. I wish there was heating regulator and then fine tuning regilator. If water is overkill for shower. So always get right temperature . No matter what. E.g then cooling agent cools water down fo right temp.

How do you turn it "off" though? Just flat on the solid line before the lowest temp?

My Rheem water tank looks different. It has a knob at the bottom, with A, B, and C as the gauges. Do I simply turn the knob to A or lower to reduce the water temperature?

What do you mean when you say "Do it with both of these" at the end?
