Guys here is the real story, the man is an american named John Allen Zegruk, he is a conman who sometimes claimed he was from a non existent kingdom in India, sometimes in Africa, sometimes in europe. He conned multiple dudes and used fake passports, he was also arrested multiple times. This taured thing was also one of his put up acts, even if it is real, its just a misspelling of tuareg an actual place in Europe. Dont believe everything you see on the internet.
Edit - Guys tuareg is a tribe which stays in the African deserts area, it's not a place in Europe. Sorry for the confusion, but the rest of the fact is true 😊.

Explination

He was an American born conman called John AK Zergus, who flew the world using a fake passport of a country he made up. But unlike the urban legend, he said Taured was in Sub Saharan Africa with a population of 2 million.

This is the pre digital age, where a sufficiently confident man dressed right could pass off as someone important from a made up country.

He applied for a Japanese visa under Taured passport and got it approved. And he had no issues entering Japan. He got caught only when he tried robbing 2 banks.

That was his act. He used to globe trot using a fake country to do financial scams. He was arrested for a year and then sent back.

This sounds TOTALLY unbelievable in today that authorities could be so relaxed. But please keep in mind this is pre 1980s and was the early stages of the gilded age in travel.

1950s was when civilians in first world countries started global travel in large numbers. So it was possible to pass off as a prince or a rich guy of an obscure place given prior to the 50s, ONLY industrialized nations dignitaries would use air travel and the world was just healing from WW2.

Even as late as the 1970s, one of my grandpa's friends, a fraud unemployed guy, convinced South Korean Ambassador to give em a fully expense paid business trip to Seoul inclusive of exclusive stay etc but in reality in India, he was just a bunk out of a job. But the guy spoke flawless English and dressed like a sappeur.

Needless to stay, he convinced the French that he was the descendant of some non existent Kingdom in India and he wanted to visit RoK for business prospects.

In reality, he went there had a good time and came back.

i think this is correct from what i heard from my half japanese grandpa

Edit: This is the most likes I’ve ever gotten tysm. And to the others who is asking questions I don’t know it because that’s all my grandpa told me

This was a factual incident. The town in Andorra that guy was from was Tahull, located in the province of Lareida. Tahull + Lareida = Tahullareida, or Tahureida, or Taured, for short. The guy was a intelligence agent and he needed to obtain medicine, specifically, Nitroglycerin, for his heart condition, in Tokyo, but needed to erase evidence of his excursion for covert secret agent type reasons, which he did by using a confusing blackout script involving a fabricated passport from a nonexistent country, which was just his town, fabricated on a passport as a country. He didn't disappear, he just blacked the guards out using nlp. They weren't supposed to remember he was ever there, but he screwed up by accidentally leaving a single used hotel soap in the shower, which is what triggered the residual memory which was then logged and later reported, turning the incident into this weird ghost story. The incident has no connection to the Tuareg, and I got this information from my father who was born in Spain, but is not Spanish. He is from a now nearly extinct bloodline called the Gallego, mostly Portuguese, with some French and Moorish. I think he was born in 1952. It is true that there is no substantial evidence to validate the authenticity of this incident. The reason for this is because Spain was at that time ruled by General Fransisco Franco, who was notorious for erasing documents. A lot of messed up stuff happened during his rule that there's no surviving documentation of, but to say that means it never happened is dumb. Take a moment to read the wiki on White Terror (Spain). It's pretty messed up. Anyway, the hints posted in context to stolen checks and fabricated handmade passports are contextually beneficial to some extent, but it is doubtful anyone is left at this point who retains much, if any at all, factual case detail that is of any use or relevance anyways. The story becomes progressively more diluted with time, like a game of operator, original key elements distorting, changing, or disappearing. The actual mystery to this thing is whether the guy was later caught and apprehended by the law or whether he got away. This was never resolved in the version of this story I got from my father, who told me about this in person before the internet was publicly accessible. This thing was sloved by a Redditor.Your shorts contains a small image of him in the newspaper of Japan. That newspaper already said he is a dude who have been caught in Japan for using fake passport. Some how he managed to travel many countries using it.This story quickly spread outside japan, from this person to that person. Many key things from this story had changed, slowly turns it into an urban myth.
