Replace your blade with a “click”

Outdoor Edge has been in the industry for quite some time now and has been continuously working on ways to improve their patented RazorSafe® locking system. The ability to swap out individual blades is surprisingly easy. There is a small button at the top of the scale that when pressed, releases the blade. Insert in the new blade, hear the click, and you know the blade is securely set in.

Though replaceable blades are not for everyone and not recommended for super heavy use, they do fit the needs of those just looking for a standard EDC blade for daily task, like opening packages, cutting cordage, etc. They’re also helpful for people who hate sharpening knives (yes, I have been there once).

Starting at $40, the knife features a reversible pocket clip for right, and left-handed carry. As of now there are five different models available that feature different mechanisms including ceramic ball bearing pivots, steel ball bearing, and spring-assisted.

The replaceable blade shapes features a variety of drop point and utility razor blade shapes that feature serrated, and non-serrated versions. Materials like micarta, G10, and carbon fiber are available for handle scales.

Moreover, in my opinion, the blade looks pretty darn stylish. Looking at it first glance, you wouldn’t even know it’s a replaceable blade.

Cant say loudly enough that even if this isnt your type of knife, if you hunt or fish or even just carry a knife, this type should be at least one of your back up items. Its legit a game changer. If time is of the essence at some point a dull knife can be a real problem..and even if you have a good sharpener, you may not have the time. One of this type of knife and the pack of blades they usually come with and you can get a job done.
They arent hard use knives, but they can work hard.
Get one or a couple and put it in your kit, your bag, your edc back up.
You dont have to like or or love it. You dont have to use it. But if you have to, it will be a decision you are glad you made.

I’ve put my “disposable” razor knife blades in my lansky sharpener and put a 20 degree edge on it. They hold up noticeably longer than the factory edge.
Currently I’m carrying a $8 Milwaukee 1500 “fastback”.
My other carry is my dream knife from my childhood of Special Projects magazines . A 5.5” Cold Steel Voyager Tanto that’s fully serrated.

Just bought one, exactly what I need. I don't like using my knives at work. This will work perfectly for cutting small ropes, boxes, etc... the best part when it dulls it's easily replaceable. Sharpening stones take skill and time to learn, and I have neither one and all other sharpeners are a hit a miss kinda deal. Still haven't found a good one yet.

I have and use all of the Outdoor Edge knives and they are superb!! I just started carrying the Razor VX and I alternate it with the Onyx & UltraLite EDC 3.5's. I also own a machining company so when I'm there I carry a heavy use folder as I do a lot of warranty voiding activities with my knives for which the Outdoor Edge Replaceables are just not built for, any more than a Bug Out or Para 3 is. However, for the 95%+ of EDC activities, these are great knives, with uber sharp blades. I carry the UltraLite 3.5 & Field Razor 3.5, same blade as ALL of the 3.5" blades can slide into any grip. For my deer I can gut and dress a deer🦌 with one blade. Though they are sold as disposables(6-pks), I resharpen mine 5-6 times and they keep an excellent edge through those resharpenings.

I was extremely skeptical initially though for anywhere from $20-45+, I figured, WTF, lol??

Great Company, Excellent Knives and uber sharp blades🤙

Apologies for the novella😊

Continued Success🍻

What’s the difference with the ceramic ball bearing & spring assist? Is one better than the other? I would’ve thought spring assist would cost more, but it’s somehow less expensive.

I gave 2 to my wife for Christmas. She loves them and it save me so much time when she is skinning out Beavers and Otters. She demands razor sharp edges to prevent damaging small features and details!
WARNING: You CAN sharpen replacement blades!

Hey Melissa, I think I might get this, it's unique, but what do you think of the spring assist vs. not having it? Basically is it still fidget friendly without the spring assist?

Your channel is going places, congrats!
