Nashville Sneak Peek: Rayna Breaks Down Overs a Deacon's Cancer Diagnosis (VIDEO)

Now that Deacon's battle with cancer is no longer a secret, nobody is taking the diagnosis harder than Rayna.

In an exclusive sneak peek at this week's episode of Nashville, Rayna (Connie Britton) breaks down over Deacon's (Chip Esten) illness while listening to one of their old records.

When Deacon catches her, he tells her that they need to "stay positive" but she can't. "I'm failing," she tells him, admitting that she didn't go to New York City on a day trip like she had said: She visited Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) in Mississippi, who still refused to help her brother even in the face of a $1 million check from Rayna. Still holding onto her grudge from all those years ago when Deacon chose Rayna over her, Beverly sent the check back in ripped-up pieces.
