I believe that the numbers of vocations will show which orders are staying true to religious life and those that have strayed. The world needs visible signs of God's love and presence and habited sisters and nuns are that sign.

The documents of Vatican II were a start. As we continue to better understand liturgy, and life issues, we rethink, we form new opinions. The Synod on Synodality (Vatican II, if you will) will have two sessions that will reflect newer thinking, newer opinions.

There is tension between the majority of the developed Western world and the church. The third world on the other hand is increasing in faith.

I agree with you Colleen very much. The second Vatican Counsel is still happening to this day. As a priest, we both will never understand the second Vatican Counsel because we both will be dead and buried! Change is happening and will continue to happen. It will take over one hundred years for the second Vatican Counsel to happen.

i attended many retreats with nuns who recieved me very warmly by their kind understanding nature they taught me how to never downgrade any one any one could learn how to be understanding if they ever met them. god bless Lumen Dei
