Just brought home a 2006 LS460 and I was having trouble starting the car. Although I got it started I had no idea what I did differently.

Hello. I have a 2015 model NX. I can insert the key but it does not turn. And the door does not open. Local Lexus in Leicester says that it is because the battery is flat. I was under the impression that this method is totally mechanical and hence required no electrical assistance. Please help
