People need to realize that 1. Taylor Swift is the greatest popster of all time. 2. This song is purely fun. This gives us a clue to what the rest of 1989 sounds like. But it's a small clue. This song is made to be fun and encouraging and entertaining and empowering. The lyrics are actually pretty witty, it's just hard to pay attention sometimes due to the song being so upbeat. Let's hold all judgment till the whole album is released. As you can tell everyone watch her in this video are extremely happy and having fun! So was she and that's all that matters.

Taylor actually does have the vocal capability to work with pop music, she may not have the widest range but she knows how to work with what she's got. Constructive criticism is one thing basically insulting her voice and genre choice is another, and this is coming from someone who isn't a die hard fan.
