Native American here. I don't support the distorted version of Matoaka's (Pocahontas) story, but I love this song. It aligns with the teachings of my people. I know the lyrics sound poetic, but it is true. Nature is sacred to us, I don't expect everyone to love Mother Earth, I know many people have lost that connection... (not too late to reconnect), but at least respect her, and don't hurt her. Unfortunately, people destroy what they don't understand. They fear it instead of getting to know it.
