Samsung's famous "phablet" is back. Is the Galaxy Note still the best big phone on the market?

Well said. One of the first engineers of android said in an interview that android phones would never have the fluidity of an iPhone. The reason for is that android was built as a non-touch screen os to compete against blackberry, thus the success of apple and its first iPhone they tweaked it for it can be a multi-touch os too. You guys still remember the G2 and the first HTC? They have gotten a whole lot better but is not the same.

I'm actually surprise. IGN made legitimate negatives in this review. The fingerprint sensor does suck on samsung devices and touchwiz lags pretty bad. However, this video review is still pretty shitty as it lacks a lot of detail, and just kind of feels like they're reading from a samsung spec sheet.

I love when the Droids say Apple isn't innovative, but every feature introduce on apple first androids sneaks it in on their devices and call it "better" iMessage, iCloud, FaceTime, Siri, touch ID. But I always understood it like this: "All in success, is bound to hear it from the rest"

I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that the speaker had moved from the bottom to the lower back just like the S line has them. I much prefer the speaker on the bottom with my note 3. On the back is a really silly position to place a speaker. Ideally you want the sound coming towards you like the M8 does but if not, then the bottom is the next best position. Depending on the person this can be a deal or no deal situation but it's not a massive deal breaker for most I would assume, as you can just plug in earphones for a much more sound immersion experience.

It was not samsung who pioneered the phablet. It was dell, a phone called dell streak 5 was the first phablet. It was released when iphones were considered very big.

If you have the note 3, i'd wait for the Note Edge or the Galaxy Note 5. Or the Edge 2 I guess.

I have the Galaxy Note 4 and I do experience the lag even when I just bought from the store.  But what I did to reduce the lag is that I installed and use the Google Now Launcher.  I don't know why but it runs better.  Maybe Samsung will make an update soon to address the lag.  Overall I'm liking the phone.
