I think the problem with trying to so directly translate the cartoon design to a figure like this is that this cartoon design already sucked, so there was no possible way this could turn out good

It feels weirdly nice to see Perspective fully "trash" a figure after so long of having not done it.

And suddenly I feel justified that I put mine into combined mode as soon as I got him.

I feel like they knew what they were doing here. If someone gets one of the combiner parts they'll feel more obligated to buy the rest for a complete set. I knew that if I were to get Dragstrip I'd be signing up for the other 4 (I'm a sucker and I know it). That means they wouldn't have to work hard on all of them. And yet I have a lot of trouble finding him in stores! The rest are all there by now but I've maybe spotted him twice and I hesitated then. He's not a purchase I'm looking forwards to and I know that with a complete Menasor he'll be almost a full-time leg.

The "cape mode" reminds me of those hammerhead worms. Weirds me out. Dragstrip(and maybe Shadowstrip/Dead End) definitely outclass the other limbs.

It's so weird that you can have TM2 Megatron with so much detail and crazy moving his actual mass, and come out good. Then have a very humanoid looking guy, who essentially turns into a streamlined rectangle somehow be overengineered and underenguneered to where he comes out suffering in bot mode.

3:03 no, they're not supposed to be the back of the car, the animation model like all the S2 Models were half assed and completely misinterepreted, the shins should be the underside of the car

As someone who usually turns a blind eye to a toy's flaws, I gotta say I kinda agree. That's why I plopped him onto Menasor's leg right after I finished transforming him out of the box, and I haven't touched him since. At least he has a wicked alt-mode.

ATLEAST Combiner Wars figures actually combined and didn’t just shove itself onto a skeleton of a big robot.

Aaaahhhh, nothing makes my morning quite like seeing an innocent bot get torn to shreds.

among all the animated stunticons wildrider was my fav design since it litterally makes him look like a scary robo monster and not a bland guy

So, the reason the backpack splits like that is a pretool for Breakdown.

Makes it a faux part that resembles his spoiler, which usually appears on his upper back in animation and older toys

It looks like the figures arms are strapped to its torso. The guy has square shoulders, square torso and nothing in between so he’s literally built like a square up top

Also after seeing the transformation. It not only feels like sideswipe. But also the combiner wars dead end mould. Especially when that mould had the arms clap to the sides although wildrider here seemingly forgot that step

Imagine somebody mistakes Wildrider for an average car and goes into the drivers side of him and when Motormaster wants to form Menasor, Wildrider would transform into his "Leg" mode and **Lets just say that his red windshield will be more red**
