Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, said on Friday (October 11) she would put a Republican in her cabinet and create a bipartisan council of advisors to give feedback on policy, if elected in the Nov. 5 election.

''And so part of what I intend to do, (...) is creating a bipartisan council of advisers who can then give feedback on policy as we go forward. Because here's the thing I also understand and feel strongly about, in order for us as America to maintain our status as the strongest democracy in the world, we need a healthy two party system.''

Harris made the comments while speaking at an event in Arizona for Republicans supporting her campaign.

Google search says today's average cost of gasoline is around $3:20, and cheapest is $2:72 in Georgia (guy interviewed was talking about it being $4, $5, or $6 ... seems to have come down a lot since those numbers) ...

... but cost of gas/petrol/diesel (and even electric for EV cars) has risen by as much or more everywhere else around the world ... and all for same reasons, i.e. (1) cost of repaying for Coronavirus, but mostly (2) Russian invasion of Ukraine … many in the US probably believe that the US is surely self sufficient in oil/gas, and hence immune to those worldwide prices rises, but that's wrong – US is part of the global economy, and US oil suppliers operate as part of that global market - so prices for energy (gas/electric/oil/petrol) and almost all food products, have risen almost as much in the US as they have all over Europe and everywhere else ... actually, the USA probably got off more lightly than most countries, ie smaller increases in US compared to other countries, and also faster/better recovery with stronger economy now in US compared to UK, Europe etc.
