A lot of people saying that Elisabeth Moss deserved the award. C’mon, Claire Foy did a FANTASTIC job portraying Queen Elizabeth II. Claire's way of transmitting despair, sadness, disappointment and anger is sublime. She definitely deserved the Emmy for this season. Vanessa Kirby and Matt Smith did an amazing job too.

For me, this was the toughest category. Every single woman deserved this award, and although Keri and Tatiana have also finished with their nominated roles, I am sure they will snap up other roles that will be award worthy. Sandra (hopefully) will have another great season and get the Emmy she has long deserved (Cristina Yang has some amazing moments).

SHE DESERVED IT!!!! Claire personified a historical person with amazingly profound, vivid, charismatic and truthful portrayal in different kind of complex eras. In the gripping final confrontation scene of the last episode when Queen Elizabeth observes Prince Philip as he finally confess, sums the whole Crown series all up and explains what this series was really all about. THAT is an Emmy!
