A blaster I never gave enough love from my favourite Nerf line, quick review of the Rival Hypnos!

I remember this blaster being really hyped up by the hobby before it’s release and then never being mentioned by anyone ever again

the look and feel of hypnos is my fave! the side board mag storage was so cool too

I recently picked up one of these in a rival lot and here is what I've found.

-It's in steep competition with an artemis, and although the artemis takes the win for slam fire and higher onboard cap, this is where the hypnos takes the cake:

-A great foldable stock.
-The ability to switch magazines very quickly, so if you have a dump pouch, this might just save you in an HvZ situation of when your artemis inevitably goes dry.

The only con I've seen is there are some feeding issues if the blaster is primed at a weird angle.

Yeah it’s one of my favs along with the nerf Athena and the Boba Fett rival Apollo. I even have two of the nerf Hypnos, a red and blue

rival is a breeze to pick up with an nut gatherer. considering that and how much more robust the ammo is, rival is my favorite for non-gameplay reasons haha

We used to have nerf wars inside when it was wet and muddy (and with my luck it usually was) so I got pretty good at using the ricochet to my advantage

A really amazing non talked about blaster from the first blue and white elite series was the hailfire. I still think that thing is one of the best bang for your buck blasters when it came out and the far most intimidating in the line, found your channel recently btw and i absolutely love it

I generally prefer the Artemis due to its ability to pick up ammo on the fly and I put a stockpoint and pump grip on from OOD

Not sure if they're still offered, but Out of Darts had something called a garden weasel and it was pretty much a floor sweeper for rival rounds.

This would be such a cool hobby for me to get into. Adults can have fun with these too. I just need to find the appropriate group. Unfortunately I feel adults a pushed towards airsoft and I don't like that.
