My favorite detail in this game is that no-one in the hotel at any point in the game acknowledges Sophia’s existence. It took me 3 playthroughs and understanding of the implication of how she’s always moving around the lobby to the goddess statue to the beach near the end. She’s projecting her image to you specifically which is why no one sees her but you and she can be anywhere she needs to be

What I love about this game is it actually has a very cool and understandable story while also being filled to the brim with little secrets and references like these. Proving you can be mysterious without being completely obfuscated for the player.

The story was really good and there were a lot of tender moments in the game. The acting was top notch. My favorite was the quest line with the broken puppet where you teach him various human emotions. I just love how optimistic he was about learning what it means to be human, despite him being on the floor all twisted up.

I like the fact that they're branching out to different classic fairy tale stories and not just limiting it to Pinocchio. It reminds me of what Santa Monica did/is doing with the god of war franchise.

Love this game. Kinda thought it was going to be meh, but honestly, it feels fairly different from the other “souls like” and has this kind of consistent charm.

Another detail i found was that the play that goes on before the king of the puppets boss fight is a i guess preview of the choice you can make at the end of the game if you agree to give Geppetto your heart. He goes and basically kills everyone, hangs them and then puts the p organ into the body he prepared. Very dark once you realize it
