Vocal Function Exercises (Voice Therapy)

Показать описание
Vocal Function Exercises (VFE) are therapeutic tasks used to strengthen and increase coordination of the muscles of voice production. VFE was originally developed by Dr. Joseph Stemple. The treatment protocol for VFE is broken into four main exercises. In combination, these tasks can effectively “strengthen and balance the laryngeal musculature, increase or improve vocal fold adduction, and coordinate the subsystems of voice production.”
When performing all exercises, make sure to use proper posture and to use diaphragmatic breathing. All exercises should be performed twice, 2 times per day.
To complement vocal function exercises, vocal straw exercises can also be performed:
- Intro (0:09)
- Exercise #1: Hypernasal "E" (0:57)
- Exercise #2: Vocal Cord Stretch (3:09)
- Exercise #3: Vocal Cord Contraction (4:44)
- Exercise #4: Power Adduction (5:47)
