The 10 EASIEST Queen songs for SINGERS

Maybe singing Queen songs isn't that hard after all. Right? No? Okay. Well, at least I tried my best. The least frustrating Queen songs for singers! **Sorry about the mess up on Pav's quote. #FreddieMercury

• Corrections:
• There was a pretty big error in the text for Pavarotti's quote; hopefully it was still understandable. It should've said: "(...) trying to make the switch as unnoticeable as possible". Sorry about that.

I can do Love of My Life using head voice and falsettos, it wasn’t that difficult, but there are definitely some challenging bits.

As a Male singer I always try to sing the live version of love of my life so i can avoid doing falsetto

Wow, I was not expecting Love Of My Life in this list. 😂

It can be difficult for me to transition between chest and falsetto, but Love of My Life, being a slower pace, gives me more opportunity to take my time. I actually use it to practice transitioning between both ranges.

Very nice video! Love Of My Life is an interesting one, the main focus of the song is actually the emotion within the song. That is why few people are ever going to sing it well. In the studio it is a very delicate and controlled song, but Freddie often just belted it out live which brings a different emotion to the song, but it would not always be easier, his colour, timbre and tone also added a lot to the song. I am Going Slightly Mad is another one that might be deceptive, a tenor can reach those low notes, but they might not sound very resonant. It is not much of an issue if a song just have a few lower notes, but the whole song is basically in a lower register, so people will notice if you don't have resonance in your lower notes.

Songs such as Radio Gaga, I Want To Break Free or It's a Kind of Magic can be easy to sing in your mixed voice, but it will never sound great. These songs sounds good because Freddie sings a lot of it, in his full chest voice, without that it becomes very ordinary run of the mill songs. The difficulty of Queen songs is how much Freddie sang in his chest voice, that is why these songs sound so powerful. A tenor's chest voice is usually from C3 - C5, it took Pavarotti years to learn to sing a C5 (of course singing opera and pop or rock is not exactly the same). Freddie sang in his full chest voice from F2 - F5, that is quite incredible, especially if you consider that Freddie was a baritone. That being said, it is properly not very healthy for your voice to do that. But it is a good reason why Queen covers often sounds very underwhelming.

3:44 thought it said "'Back In the USSR' was the B-side to 'Jealousy'" ._. I'm like: but those are two different bands
and then I re-read it

I'd like to see you react to Jon Anderson who is the lead singer for the English prog rock band Yes. Anderson sings in alto, which makes Yes songs very challenging for any male singer to sing.

Here's some titles of both Yes and Anderson's other projects.
- Yours is no disgrace - Yes
- Roundabout - Yes
- Find my way home - Jon and Vangelis
- Hold on to love - Jon Anderson solo
- I can't stop loving you - Toto (Anderson does the backing vocals and during the guitar solo he starts scatting)
- Owner of a lonely heart - Yes
- Hold on - Yes

Not all of these “easy” Queen songs are available in karaoke-mode, but can be sung along to when in the car

Dreamer's Ball is pretty relaxed, nothing extreme going on in that one, definitely easier than a few on here
