Everything that is happening in our era happened before.. and before the cultural revolution in China, also. Read a biography of Giordano Bruno. Such persecution is never just religion or philosophy, or even, politics, it's about controlling the masses through fear and controlling dissenters through intimidation. Weak men must be bullies.
