My dad played this tape in his truck all the way back to his apartment (about an hour drive) shortly after my angel of a step mother passed away from leaukemia. I think of her sweet face every time I hear this song. It was the saddest damn drive with my Dad ever.

This band was a "breath of fresh air" when they came out in the late 70's. Music had became dull and predictable. The Car's were something fresh and different. I've been a big fan since their first album dropped. Rip Ben.

I got the "Shake It Up" album when it was brand new back in 81' from one of those 12 records for a penny deals from Columbia, or BMG (can't remember now). I was 11 years old! Never paid for the records of course! Ha! Ha! This was my favorite song on the album. Can't believe Ben Orr and now Ric are gone :( The Cars are one of my favorite bands.

Actually I think all the 80s were depressing to me. The kind of music I loved died. But there's a few exceptions. Noting like the 70s though.
