Michael, I love your passion for Eddie, the same thing happens to me. For me, Eddie is the total guitar style, he does magic, how he combines technique with feeling, harmonics, tapping, dive bombs, tremolo... not a single note was left over or missing in his solos, his overwhelming improvisation, creativity and expressiveness. My best summary of him: His guitar was alive!! He breathed life into it!!

I love all the fans of Eddie and Van Halen! Thanks for sharing your passion and energy!!

I was at that show in the first clip at Donnington in 1884. I was 14 and we had just moved to England the summer before when my dad got stationed overseas.
Amazing to look back on this footage. It pops up and gets taken down again.
There's also quite a bit of the back stage footage floating around.

In his bio, Alex mentions who took all this footage. Alex was annoyed because certain naughty things were also captured…. Milk and cookies and such. But, we should get a ton more. The band is amazing, but Eddie’s legend is just getting started! His greatness will astonish forever. RIP EVH
