Shell Rotella Unsung - A life in the day of hard work: Construction

This film tells the story of Lt. John Nolan, a proud FDNY fire fighter recently retired from 18 years of duty. In the tradition of FDNY brotherhood, John and his fellow fire fighters banded together and volunteered to help rebuild local homes and businesses in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Their efforts grew into a construction company, and now John and his crew of fire fighters are rebuilding over 20 homes in Rockaway and Breezy Point, where more than 100 houses burned to the ground or were flooded by the storm surge at the height of Hurricane Sandy.

Everyday, John and his diesel pick up set out to rebuild and revitalize. Neighbor helping neighbor to bring back a community through persistence and...hard work.
