It's been 6 months since checked up on our dear friend 5-minute crafts, so I figured it was time to try some of their life hacks for real.

5-Minute Craft logic: Not strong enough to scoop ice cream but *is* strong enough to rip an apple in half

Heating an ice-cream scoop is very common. Pretty much all ice cream parlours and restruants do this. Except you don't heat it with a flame. Ever. Dip it in a tub of hot or boiling water or use a hot tap. Really helps and is great help if you want perfect ball shaped scoops. You may or may not have noticed people dip scoops in water when buying ice cream in cones from places. I do this every day at work (i'm a dessert chef).

Coat hanger: bent forks
Silverware: wrecked spoons, melted plastic toothbrush, sharp cans
Phone case: cement
Bed sheet: window curtain
Coffee mug: Pringle can

My boyfriend used to rip apples in 1/2 w his hands.... there was a definite technique, and he had very strong hands.
I think the placement of the fingers was very important.

The thing about the milk, being poured the other way is actually a working method. But in certain conditions - it's used on a FULL carton of milk/juice, it's poured from a normal, logical distance. If the opening is on the bottom, and you try to pour it, the air going in makes these pulses in the stream. If it's on the top, the air has a clear way in and the stream is smooth. But only for FULL cartons with rectangular shapes.
