Welcome to the first tutorial in the series where I demonstrate how to start a Javafx Project with Maven, then deploy a runnable JAR. In the second and third installments, I will take you through the steps necessary to package, bundle then deploy your Runnable JAR, and turn it into not only a .EXE file that will be distributable, but also into an installer (.MSI) that you can distribute to your friends/clients!

For those, wanting to export a jar with images inside:

You have to create the jar using gradle or maven

this way it will not run in linux, even if you put the linux native library jars on the root of the .jar zip instead of the windows native jar libs. of course it works in windows.
