A gift to myself for the week of my 40th birthday, I decided to take a little trip to Paris, France to see Muse live one last time on their Will Of The People world tour. It was my 15th Muse concert! With this trip, I also got to cross two more things off my Muse bucket list... seeing them in France (where they have a very dedicated fanbase) and watching them own a stadium of 70,000 people (the beautiful and world famous Stade de France)!
The one disappointment of this gig was queuing for 12 hours, being first in line at my gate, and still not being able to get a barrier spot. I ended up being about 8 rows back from the front, Matt's side. For the most part, I still had a good view and I enjoyed the show. And many thanks to the kind ppl who let me move up a few places in the first place because I'm so short!
Was really hoping they'd treat Paris with something special (the crowd really wanted Showbiz lol), but we got the regular Bliss rotation and both Resistance and Undisclosed Desires, as was standard for the summer European setlists. But after not getting to hear any of these songs at Shaky Knees two months prior, it was nice hearing them again, one more time. Verona was particularly magical, and definitely my personal highlight of the night. Gonna miss this tour!
I recorded the entire show! Full playlist here:
