What is Matplotlib?

Matplotlib is a plotting library for the Pythonprogramming language and its numerical mathematics extension NumPy. It provides an object-oriented API for embedding plots into applications using general-purpose GUI toolkits like Tkinter, wxPython, Qt, or GTK+.
