Shipping Container Country House by Triarc Architecture in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador. In this video, we bring you an L-Shaped Country Home built using Shipping Containers by Triarc Architecture in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador. This Modern Country home is built using one 40 foot and one 20 foot shipping containers. The containers are elevated off the ground sitting on concrete piers. The containers are placed in an L-shaped layout and modified on site to enclose a long corridor and an outdoor space creating a modern house with 480 square feet of habitable space. The entire structure is fitted with a pitched roof and covered with terracotta tiles to marry with the local architecture. This 480 square foot house consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan living with a kitchen and an outdoor seating area.

In Japanese architecture, the external hallway is called the "engawa." I am in love with this use of space! I want one. I would use the entire 40 foot container as flex space with sliding panels dividing it into 3 rooms to be used as needed. I am hoping to contact Triarc as soon as I have land.

This is a beautiful architectural design. The glass hallway and roof is really nice. Great use of space in the 20 foot container.
