😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Founded primarily in North Africa, the Egyptian cobra's bite is extremely deadly with the release of his venom, an adult elephant could die within three hours. The average death time for humans is 15 minutes...
THE END.

Everything about this is weird. 1. This is not an Egyptian cobra? What are you talking about? 2. Why are all the comments about his weight!? Mind your business!?

Only thing is...I feel sorry for the snakes having to live in small enclosures...they don't get to crawl...am I right...or no?

This is not an egyptian cobra. This is why we MUST use scientific names while discussing snakes, especially venomous snakes as their treatment may vary depending on species.

This appears to be a Snouted Cobra, or Banded Egyptian Cobra, scientific name Naja annulifera. Very different than the Egyptian Cobra, Naja haje. They are both in the haje complex but at this point, the nomenclature has grown to recognize them as individual species with independent ranges. So much in fact, that this snake isn’t even found in Egypt! It’s found in sub-saharan Africa like Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The cobras in Egypt are ones like N. haje, and N. nigricollis.

Basically, this just proves that Jay isn’t up to date on knowledge of the animals he has. Is this really the guy you wanna be learning from? Someone who doesn’t know how to properly communicate what animals he has? If he was bit, and went to the hospital telling them he was bit by an “Egyptian Cobra”, and this is what it was, he probably wouldn’t come out alive. Just so everyone is aware. This species has different requirements for treatment compared to N. haje as that species has species hemolytic components in the venom that aren’t present in N. annulifera. It is a MUST that a keeper is an aware of the effects of their species venom. Listen and learn from who you want, but this isn’t your guy, if you actually plan developing your knowledge.

Other than the King (not a true) Cobra, I tend to prefer the African cobras.

It's King Cobra. Not an Egyptian Cobra.
