"I don't she's lying through her teeth"

shes so convinced that shes right. this is basically child abuse and it makes me so mad. instead of resolving this on the show itself maybe they should consult social services? she's an unfit mother. its agonizing

"I struggle more than her"

You're a mother! That's your job! My mom puts me first than anything even tho shes a single mother!
This woman doesn't deserve to be a parent, a parent that tries to play the victim when theres a situation with their child is not really mature enough

I hate it when her mother always smile and laugh when the hosts are giving a proper advice and defending the girl, there isn't even a funny thing about what they say 😒😒 I mean she is not taking the advices seriously and just laughs it off.

i can't understand why the mother is too persistent to defend herself while everyone in the show is already trying to say that she's completely wrong and heartless.

Presenter: Do you make your son work too?

Mum: No, he’s in Highschool.

Honestly this made me very upset for the girl, I’m not sure what country it is but it’s the same for most of Asia especially in Japan and Korea for the male children to be favoured. I feel a lot of empathy for this young girl, her future is more than working in a salon.

Her mother is exploiting her own daughter for cheap labour, childhood are our most vulnerable and important years. Many mental traumas we gave during adulthood stem for childhood.

Your daughter has all the time to be an adult when the time comes, but she only has 19 years of being a teen, or as some may even say 18. Let her be a child, let her be a teen because it’s very limited compared to adulthood and you only get one experience. She needs to be mixing with her peers, going to eat out with her friends and going to the park and not worrying about only have an hour or two to spend with them, and even then she might not go out with her friends altogether since she is so tired from being worked.

I hope the daughter put her foot down, but I really doubt it in Asian societies. South Korea has especially come a long way do not get me wrong, but they still have major issues with gender, plastic surgery, and overworked idols.

“She can’t win against me”

I can’t believe the words coming out this “mother’s” mouth. Families shouldn’t be competing it’s extremely toxic and needs to STOP. What is this? A game of who deserves more pity?

I used to have the same with my mother but under different context, she used to compete with my body and say things like “My waist is really small, but you have broader shoulders like Amanda (her sister)” and it’s a very harmful environment for young girls to deal with any competing whether it be with body, or pity etc

My heart goes out to her! ❤️

Yes children should be disciplined and help out around the house. But this woman is seriously just taking advantage of her own daughter, and she doesn't even think she is wrong. She is on this show digging her own grave.

I'm seeing all sorts of red flags with this woman. The biggest ones probably being that she sees her own problems as more important than her children's problems ("menopause beats puberty"), and she feels like her daughter is somehow competition ("she can't win against me"). As someone who grew up with an abusive parent, and has been in multiple abusive friendships, these are things that make me yell at everyone to stay as far away from this woman as possible.

Of course she doesn't work all day, she has to study and revise, if you don't want an employee, you don't force your daughter to work for no reason. Just because you get stressed out doesn't mean you can't work alone.

“Menopause beats puberty” lady you dont have active hormones anymore. Your daughter is a teen full of now active hormones bc she’s growing. Tell me how menopause beats puberty???

How does this kid pass classes? Does she not have homework? I had hours of homework, but at least I was able to relax & do my own thing for a couple hrs. :/

sometimes, I wonder, after the shows, what happens? does the mother hit her for exposing her?
