The headphone jack problem would be mitigated by using a 90 degree angled connector. I do like the "desktop mode", completely independent of you using the keyboard dock, screen out or all that jazz, so I can properly have something in the foreground and something in the background. Android basic multitasking feels too limited for the multitasking you might want to do on a tablet. Wish more manufacturers gave this option.

I've been waiting on this review, so Huge thanks, Chris! I still own the Mediapad M5 Pro LTE with stylus and keyboard. It is hundreds of $$$s cheaper than the Tab S6. The new M6 is only marginally different from my M5 [with fully working Google services!) - same 4GB Ram, 2K screen, fingerprint reader, desktop mode, quad speakers, etc. - but with a new headphone jack. The M5 still gets updates and is on Android 9/Pie as of January. I stuck with it over the Samsung because I find their screens a bit oversaturated compared to Huawei's more natural screens. Anyway, I agree that both Huawei and Samsung have got the top tablets right now, and at least the Huawei's price is more reasonable. The cheaper Chinese tech can't compare and always mess up with sound or some other feature. Anyway, thanks again, mister! Liked! PS. Hopefully the Huawei/Google problem will be resolved once corrupt President Trumpty Dumpty goes to jail. Ha!

Hey Chris, you should strongly consider the new Teclast P80x... Cheapest octacore pie tablet I've seen for $75... Beautiful tablet for the price

I have been trying to get a tablet with pogo pins so that it connects physically to a flip case keyboard, instead of a bluetooth keyboard.

I really like this review, but would've preferred you include the keyboard too because I really want to know its performance as a productivity equipment, for simple basic level word processing and excel sheet work. Or even to present a powerpoint presentation. Of course at these chip level, it's not gonna be a problem, but I want to know its multi tasking capabilities.

Initially Mediapad m5 also didn't have Widevine L1 but they did it with couple of firmware updates. Hopefully this one will be addressed in near future in similar way.

No widevine for mobile is ok, but in tablet its annoying. Maybe they release a Global Version after US ban

The #2 Android Tablet in the world is excellent. I would say considering price it may be the #1 Tablet. Too bad I'm in the U.S. stuck between a rock and a hard place. I get the feeling the U.S. is doing nothing but protecting Samsung and Apple from getting their ass kicked in the business world and as usual the regular people like me are the only ones paying for it. So, for now, I will do without. I really appreciate your reviews of merch. from around the world. Thanks and PLEASE keep on keeping on.
