I’m so bad to buy for the lifestyle I wish I had. Am I the only one? I’m just a low key, stay at home, take care of my aged parents but so want to be stylish and cool.

Most trends come around again. Vogue says broaches are back. A few years ago they were then they were not now they are again. Like most things.

I am 40 plus and last year I tried white sneakers for the first time after seeing them on lots of YouTube videos. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked them! I wear them quite often. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. 😊

I agree with everything you said. It does however, frustrate me a lot when I cannot wear an "ideal" outfit that I had planned because on that day it rains heavily (happens a lot lately), or my feet hurt too much for those ideal shoes or it's too cold for what I had planned to put on. In those cases I try and make the outfit work with more comfortable shoes or a warmer coat but most of the time it doesn't work well and I end up changing into a completely different outfit alltogether or wearing it in the amended way and both don't make me feel happy.

It’s important to get the shoulder fit right, especially on lined coats, blazers, dresses and other “top” items. It’s painful having to now part with expensive clothes I really love because I was a bit lazy about finding a better fit there, I just looked at getting the fit for my fuller bust. They now look ridiculous after losing weight and taking in shoulders is an alteration that is extremely expensive, if it can even be done at all, about an inch is the maximum. It’s $250 and up to narrow the shoulders on a lined blazer or coat.

I’m on the fence about faux leather leggings. I’m 68, physically fit and like to dress classic with an edge. How can I pull off faux leggings in the Pacific Northwest, the land of plaid shirts and cargo pants? 😉☺️🪵🪓

Thanks Jamie! YOU are helping all of US do all those things! I’ve always loved fashion but when I think about it, about 15 years ago I was introduced to a stylist (who is now a friend) and she helped me get started trying things out of my comfort zone, learning/trying trends, and updating my shoe wardrobe, and she also encouraged your other tips of buying clothes for my specific lifestyle and buying more of what I love and wear a lot. In the process, some “new” things I tried ended up becoming things I loved and wore a lot. I don’t see her much anymore, but you and just 1 or 2 other YouTubers that I really like, perform that function for me through your videos. Also want to say I’m happy for you that YOU found a stylist recently who can help you at least occasionally the way you help us! Love from GA!

Hi Jamie, I bought some linen pieces over the last couple of months and I'd like ideas on how to transition them into the fall. I got elastic-waist wide-leg pants from Old Navy in black, navy and olive green and one button-up shirt in olive green. At first I thought linen was only for summer but I've been reading that it can be worn all year, especially in more temperate climates, like where I am, in South Texas. Given that these colors are great for fall, I'd love to see a video on how to style them. Thanks! ❤

A good way to elevate or improve style is to buy higher-quality versions, as you need to replace them, of the items you love to wear. I never really liked hoodies until I got a 100% silk, light-blue, not very casual, hoodie from Theory, I just live in that hoodie! No more overheating in synthetic blends, or those too-casual details like heavily stitched kangaroo pockets. I don’t like the super-casual athletic styles most Americans do. I’m now very happy with both my personal style and wardrobe. I had to replace most things because of permanent weight loss, anyway. (I sized down what I could, but going from XL to S/M isn’t really possible, it means cutting pockets, etc. in half. Skirts are the easiest to size down, but it can’t be done for all of them). I watch your content because I enjoy it and other fashion content, not to “find my style”.

I live in the mountains in summer and my wardrobe is cargo pants, T-shirts, loungewear, and boots hiking boots. When I go home to the desert, my wardrobe there it’s very dressy and very classic. are used to buy clothing for a life I wanted to have, instead of the clothes that I need for the life I am in, I learn that was such a waste of money….😊

I struggle with baggy denim. I think it’s because it’s a stiff fabric and I end up looking like a cannoli

QandA Jamie I could use some encouragement and tips. I've lost weight, but my smaller sized clothes are either outdated or still too small. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a new wardrobe because I'm still trying to lose weight. How do I put together what I have that fits in a way that looks stylish? Help!

Get to the point. It doesn’t matter when you learned. It’s irrelevant.
