Kurt Angle is a 14-time professional wrestling world champion, with titles collected in WWE, TNA, and Japan. He is in both the WWE and TNA/Impact Hall of Fames, a two-time NCAA Division 1 National Champion, and has also won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Summer Games with, as he likes to say, ‘a broken freaking neck.’ At every stop in his career, Angle has reached the top of the mountain, and now he’s taking his Three I’s; Intensity, Intelligence, and Integrity, to the podcast world as he joins host Paul Bromwell to take a look back at some of the matches, feuds and moments that turned an Olympic gold medalist into one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time. It’s True. It’s damn true

I get Bob Holly attacking guys that can defend themselves like Renee Dupree but beating the crap out of some kid that won't fight back (or isn't allowed to) and has zero experience is pretty low.

As a kid I didn't understand why they stopped Hardcore Holly push back in 2003 but now I get it.

He's describing a bully. "Bob will beat the shit out of ya". Nobody describes Taker that way.

Unless the young guy is Lesnar, in which case you get your neck broken

Bob Holly was the one with the chip on his shoulder. He got tired of being Spark Plug, took enough roids to gain 100 pounds, and took out his projected frustrations on smaller guys.

Holly was basically WWE's drill sergeant. The industry is loaded with douchebag bullies and he's arguably the biggest one. If you're a rookie and you can put up with him, you're ready.

Bob Holly was no Steve Blackman, that guy was proper legit.

Matt Cappotelli from Tough Enough definitely didn't deserve the beating he got from Bob Holly

Bob being a good in-ring worker is about the only thing going for him and quite honestly, isn't enough to escape the shadow of him being a notoriously horrible human being.

Didn't know Kurt had a podcast. Subscribed forsure

Two things can be true. You can be a locker room leader while abusing your power and being a bully

He didn't try that shit with Bart Gunn did he? Or Shamrock, or Lesnar. Or actually he did try with Lesnar and paid the price for it.

I think the word “bully” has a picture of Bob in it. Bob was only nice to new guys when a) he knew he the back office wouldn’t put up with him bullying that person, or b) they were legit tough guys. Guaranteed, if Lesnar or Angle were contestants in Tough enough, he wouldn’t have beaten them to a pulp for smiling in a practice match.

I met Bob a few years ago and he was cool as hell, he gave time to anyone who wanted it and came across as a real nice guy

Good thing Kurt was there to stop Holly from going too far on Renee Dupree. That day could have been the end of his career.

The one I remember was the 2005 Rumble match. Started with Eddie and Benoit, the that tough enough winner Daniel Puder came out and eddie and Benoit just start laying into him. Holly comes out at 4 and asks the other two to let him handle it, and proceeds to beat the holy hell out of Puder, gave him the stiffest Alabama slam I've ever seen and sent him packing.

All because Puder put Angle in a key lock. Well, that and he was a kind of a prick.
