i know this is old but you just saved me from my 2 day headache.
I was using charecter paw and the collision boxes where giving me these wierd floating bumping around sphere acting so weirdly.
Well can finally move on lol.

you saved my balls this time man,
one curious thing is if you hook up the pitch axis, it launches the ball upwards for a long shot, but only when the camera is looking down on the ball, if the camera is angled low to the ground it launches the ball forward

Could you please make one tutorial or add some info on making a progress bar to fill when the impulse rate is increase by holding the button? (Like a power meter)
Theres NO tutorial in all internet about this.

This has been incredibly useful to me. I was wondering if anyone knew the process for setting a powercap? Like right now if I just keep holding down the mouse button the power builds indefinitely, and I'd like for it to hit a certain point and then power down so I don't have overly crazy shots and such.

YO Alan, great tutorial here. I implemented it on a character of mine to have a charge dash attack and it works great. The only jank comes from when ever it's ready to be charged and starts charging the pawn is stopped dead in it's tracks, like instant hand break. This also happens in mid air but when it stops the player it slowly descends like in a slow down way. Is there a way to make it so that the charge is disabled until the player hits the floor again? Much like jumping? For some reason the way that I disable jump in mid air wont work on this script. If anyone else figures this out I'd appreciate the help!

i like this concept! how could i add height to the ball aswell as forward force? like a driver or chip shot without the charge up needed. should i just launch character on the pawn at certain height and velocity?

And what if i dont have installed the First Person blueprint, i started with a blank project, do i need to make another one?
How do i add my custom ball to the blueprint?
This should of been properly explained to understand what everything does, instead u just rush through it.

Maybe can you extend this tutorial with an arrow that points to an obstacle and how will be the direction after hit the obstacle.

PD: how can i do for dont lose many ball speed when hits a wall?

Hi Alen. I'm a beginner and I followed everything step by step as far as I can tell and everything works great - except the camera doesn't seem to follow the ball, it just remains static. Do you know what I may not have done properly? Thanks in advance.
