I once got paid with a fake 100 dollar bill. I tried depositing it into my account but the teller said it wasn't real. She was supposed to make a record of it and start an investigation with the treasury dept but most likely didn't want the aggravation so she sent me away. I had it checked at a local ice cream shop. It passed the test, but the owner said he could tell by the look and feel of the bill that it was phoney
