These Makeup Brands don't align with my values so why would I work with them.... Unless they actually change 😩 ABH used to be my fave brand and now it's one of the worst to me 😭

Anything to do with Jefferee Star, James Charles, and co, Patrick Ta, Kardashin Clan, YouthForia, any brand that has a “nude” launch but doesn’t include a dark blown(cool, neutral and warm). I think that’s it off the top of my head.

I don't fuck with too faced, hank and henry, or jeffery star after how nasty they behaved online. There are so many options out there, why give money to mean people?

Fenty Beauty, BLK OPL, Juvias Place, Uoma Beauty, Huda Beauty, and Danessa Myricks Beauty are my favorite BIPOC and Black Owned makeup brands.

Mine have got to be kylie cosmetics (or anything made by the kardishian jenner clan) because yall will not profit off of me when you steal from black creators. Also Youthforia (this is self explanatory) and Jeffree star cosmetics (also self explanatory)

I have pale skin, like I'm almost pure white and many brands does not have foundations for me.
Dior, Guerlain, Too Faced, Charlotte Tilbury - all of them lack lighter options and even if Guerlain has a foundation in color "0N" - it's still too dark :)
Also, I know your content is mostly for brown girls, but I've been watching you for years and your videos help me with matching foundation for brown girls (I work at Sephora in the eastern european country and we don't have many brown people in the society, that's why my co-workers struggle with it). So thank you for educating me, my brown customers love good educated beauty advisors :)

I find almost all tubers live in disgusting excess and they show off all of their free stuff wile all of us watching are struggling day to day. You are so different from all of them

Unpopular Opinion:Hourglass
They just don't have many products for POC, and not inclusive at all they seem to cater more towards light to medium skintone
I have seen Robert Welsh call out them quite alot for their so called inclusivity

Mine is Too Faced! When I worked at Sephora and they released Born This Way foundation (2014-2017?) without any shades for us! It was so hyped and popular and I couldn't sell it to us at all. They were already popular for their chocolate bronzers but didn't have any chocolate shades for foundation! That's when I learned it takes longer to make our shades. I was so disgusted with that brand and their debut of foundations. I'm scarred too.... It was soooo popular and
I truly felt left out! #soapbox

Drunk elephant is one of mine after I had a serious allergic reaction to their jelly cleanser. Warning to other people with tree nut allergies, the cleanser has marula oil in it and marula is a similar family to cashews.

I love how you flip the script. I feel like in the past if influencers were to speak as honestly as you do about inclusivity or even quality of brands, the influencers would be blacklisted, but you’ve built up such a following by being true to your values that you reclaim this power and blacklist the brands themselves. Love to see it!!

If what I saw on the EADEM website is correct, the team of creators (and chemists?) for that brand are: Sudanese, Filipino, and Sri Lankan. Some of the women might be multiracial and I am sure I'm forgetting other backgrounds that were listed but these women seem committed to making beauty and skincare for deeply melanated folks so a nice brand to support all around.

As someone who has worked in the beauty industry for many years you are 100% correct. All of these brands are extremely overpriced for what you get and they are very much stuck in the past. No innovation and no inclusivity will lead to the end of these brands imo

Love it that you're not working with them for exclusivity cause it's not always about the brands 💗

Anything in BDS lists and those affiliated. So happy local brands are expanding more so I found it rather easy to switch from those genocidal brands.

I hear you on the CT and I'm white. Pillow Talk is not a nude for me, it's concealer lips territory.

Tarte. Every product I've tried from them has broken my skin out so badly and they're not worth the money, especially the shape tape concealer and I'll die on that hill. The Elf hydrating camo concealer is so much better for a fraction of the price and it doesn't make my skin feel dry and broken out

I really only use the cheap drugstore brands like wet and wild, and elf. As much as I love them the foundation and concealer colors are either too dark or too orange for my really fair skin.
