Tesla FSD V13: Key for Unsupervised Driving, Exec Says

Key upgrades in FSD V13 include 36 Hz full-resolution video inputs, neural network improvements, and a 5x increase in training compute, powered by Tesla's Cortex supercluster in Texas. The update is expected to enable unsupervised driving in future versions.

However, owners with Hardware 3 may need to wait longer. Elon Musk confirmed during Tesla's Q3 2024 earnings call that if Hardware 3 doesn’t meet safety standards for unsupervised driving, Tesla will upgrade these vehicles to Hardware 4 at no cost.
