I think you’d really like the Daughter of the Pirate King duology since you love sea/pirate stories. It’s really faced paced. I feel like you could easily finish it in one sitting!

I love the fact that you included some thrillers. There are so many books that are summer that are also dark books, and personally, I love gothic and horror in very green settings and in heat. I don't know why, but I do. Some other summer recs can include Plain Bad Heroines (Eily M. Danforth), The Deep (Rivers Solomon) and maybe not summer, but I do see it as a spring read leaning towards summer but House of Hollow in which I am sad to say that I am forgetting the author of.

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea is one of my favorite reads of this year! The author was also inspired by Spirited Away and I can definitely see some of the influence! For summer I read the YA Graphic novel (I think it is YA) The Girl from the Sea and absolutely loved it! Great LGBTQ+ rep!
