Idaho Morel Mushroom Hunting [Cream Of The Crop Wild Mushroom Foraging!!]

Love your videos! What is your seasons window for morels there? I took the train from Wisconsin out to Sandpoint area in 2022, tried for big white chanterelles- too dang dry! But I want to come back to try for morels at a burn, last on my bucket list! :)

Hey man how far up in Idaho are you.? I live in Utah. Do you feel like sharing some of what you know? Do you look for certain types of trees like dead elms or quakies, pines? Older burned out areas? I see a lot of dead wood on the ground. South facing hillsides? Close to water. Looks like a lot wetter area than the valley I'm in. I do live 50 feet from the only river in the valley and have found a few over the last 20 years but very spotty and unpredictable. Some years a handful some years none. What temperature range do you think is best.
