I know someone's bad at Wattson when they are not using her fences as surveillance.
If you put down a fence, it appears on the map, if they are destroyed it disappears. So you can use her fences to know enemy location.

Another difference between good and bad Wattson is. A good Wattson can place fence while fighting, a bad Wattson can't or doesn't.

I'm a Wattson main too and I always expect a decent fight when I see another one because low pick legends usually have a higher concentration of dedicated players compared to popular ones. Which leaves no in-between with Wattson. You're either good or bad

Id say its more how they use fences in creative ways mid fight. Everyone can place fences in a room and wait for people but only good wattsons have that split second decision making (and mechanical skill) to use fences effectively in a fight.

What I like to do is put a fence at a wall near a door way, so when someone enters I just lob them over to the fence with a melee and fry them. Not entirely viable, but sure as hell funny to do
