It's simpler than power to weight or downforce, gravity plays a bigger part, especially during cornering and acceleration. Also fatigue and apex lines are much easier to handle when you aren't worrying about your body angle and keeping the front wheel on the ground.

As someone who knows nothing about Motorsport I assumed the smaller lighter bike would be faster round the track. Blows my mind that the F1 cars can pull 30seconds a lap. Absolutely insane. Thanks for the comparison video

Anything with more rubber contact in the corners have a serious advantage..however pit them in the straight line and MotoGP bike wins hands down

I’d love to see a F1 driver do what what they do at Isle of Man,

the mentality of a bike rider there is at more stress than F1 as 1 rider has died every year except 1982,

Also F1 is just fucking boring to watch.

Car is a big stable flat rectangle that doesn't have to lean, motorcycle is a rectangle too, but flipped perpendicular to the ground. It has to lean perfect depending on the line and speed both of which are constantly changing every millisecond. It amazes me the control they both have every time I see a race

If 3 of either Joe Roberts, Jake Dixon, Remy Gardner, Jack Miller, Cameron Beaubier, or Sam Lowes (US-UK-AUS) fight for main class championship, I'm pretty sure Motogp will be as huge as F1 again 🤔

Motogp bikes arent really made for corners but on straight lines, the bike is so fast.
